Location: Sheraton New York, Riverside Suite and Ballroom
The Group Processes Conference will be held the day before the American Sociological Association's Annual Meeting (August 10th – 13th). The all day conference normally includes light snacks in the morning and afternoon as well as boxed lunch.
Following the tradition of the conference, we are putting forth our best effort to develop a conference that fosters advances in the scientific study of group processes.
Our specific aims are to:
- Celebrate the twenty fifth anniversary of this conference.
- Focus on new methodological developments such as large scale experimental tests of laboratory based research.
- Pay tribute to the work and legacy of major traditions in group processes
- Broaden our community of scholars and encourage interdisciplinary investigations of group processes.
- Provide a constructive forum for faculty and students to share their work with others who are interested in the study of group processes
As the conference approaches, we will continue to update this website with pertinent information, including updates for the conference program. Please feel free to contact us if you would like any information about the upcoming conference that you cannot find on this website.
With your involvement, we are sure to make the Group Processes Conference a continuing success. Please feel free to bring this website to the attention of colleagues and students who may be interested in attending this year, particularly those who have not participated in previous years.
